It’s been a few months since I’ve sent an update. So many things are happening on my art table!

I have officially fine-tuned my process to create replicas of my D’lighted paintings! Whoohoo! Such an amazing accomplishment!

It’s all been overwhelming. I have a large body of work, and I would love to offer reproduction prints for everything, but it’s going to take some time. And my heart has really been in these D’lighted pieces. These really give me all the feels, even goosebumps when the light turns on for the first time.

So with that, I’d like to introduce a few new pieces!

Leo! The first piece in a series of constellations. These will all have 2 versions. The version with just the stars and the version with the lines to make the constellation easy to see. With the help of friends, I have picked out paintings for each horoscope and will create them in each season (that’s at least the goal). Of course, I started with Leo because it’s my horoscope. Please note that this is something that could be customized on ANY d’light.

While not technically new, there are 6 D’lighted pieces that are now available as reproductions in multiple sizes! (If you need a different size than what I have listed, feel free to reach out! I CAN work up a quote for any size you’d like.) All of these will be limited editions and assembled by hand (by me!).

Learning to create reproduction D’lights feels monumental, but also, if I’m being honest, it’s been terrifying. So many doubts have run through my head. Is it too early to be spending so much time and money figuring this out? Do I have an audience? Is this just taking up the time that I could be painting? Will people like them?

Ultimately, it was/is a big task. BUT I am so happy to have learned how to do this. To offer more affordable options and to allow me to allocate more time towards creating and refining originals.

By learning to create these reproductions, I have also learned how to make beautiful prints! These prints look just like the originals, minus the stars, and I can’t be happier with them. Enjoy them in my Print section of my website!

Whew, these past few months have been busy! Summer was truly exhausting in all the best ways! I hope you have enjoyed the summer to the fullest and are looking forward to fall. Personally, I can’t wait for crunchy leaves and the first snow.

And the last art note that I am going to add to this. Christmas… 😳 ya, I hate that I have to bring it up, but if you want to commission something special for Christmas, it’s time to start talking about it! Originals can take a few weeks to months to complete. Don’t sleep on it!

AND finally, a fun Gilbert update!

Well, Gilbert had a fantastic summer. Lots of walks, cuddles, extra treats, and some fun local adventures. Including going to the zoo, where he got to meet a giraffe!

He is settling back into his normal routine now that Brent is back at school.

He is always by our side and is happiest when we are both home 💜 (me too, bud, me too)
